What is All-Over-Print / Dye Sublimation Printing?
It is a digital printing process that employs heat to transfer dye onto fabric materials. During printing, the desired images are first printed onto coated heat-resistant transfer paper as a reverse image of the design. The transfer paper and the intended media are run through heat press operation at approximate temperature of 200 C. The media can be polyester and other synthetic fabric as well as items that have satisfactory content of polyester. The heat press used can be a common A4/A3-sized equipment or larger ones such as flatbed heat press or roller heat press. Under high temperature & pressure, the dye that was printed onto the transfer paper turns into gas and permeates the fabric media and solidifies into its fibers. The fabric is permanently dyed displaying the physical appearance of the image from the computer/laptop. It can be washed without damaging the quality of the image.
This technique is used in applications such as: Fabric Printing, All-Over-Printed Apparel, Head buff, Scarf, Table runner/cover, Bed Cover / Pillow Cases, Flag / Banner, Window / Bathroom Curtain, Wall Drapery, Canopy, Pouch / Handbag / Backpack, Shoe / Sneakers, etc.
